Role Overview
We are looking for Intermediate Quantity Surveyors to join a commercial team and support the financial and contractual management of M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) packages within high-end fit-out projects. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to build their careers in the construction industry, particularly in the luxury interiors sector. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, learning from senior colleagues, and gaining experience in managing budgets, costs, and commercial aspects of M&E projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and estimates for M&E works
* Support the procurement and management of M&E subcontractor and supplier packages
* Regularly assist with valuations, progress claims, and cost reporting
* Monitor project costs, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and cost control
* Identify and manage variations, risks, and cost-effective solutions related to M&E services
* Liaise with project teams, consultants, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless communication and delivery
* Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, industry standards, and company procedures
Requirements
* Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or a related field
* 2-3 years of experience in M&E or fit-out projects, with a solid understanding of quantity surveying principles
* Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within a team
* Familiarity with building services systems, M&E installations, and relevant contracts
* Proactive, with a desire to continue developing in the quantity surveying profession
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
