Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Warrington
£45,000 – £55,000 | Hybrid Working | Commercial & Residential Facades Projects

A specialist contractor delivering large-scale façade and cladding remediation projects is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their growing North West team.

This role would suit someone with around 2 to 4 years commercial experience who is ready to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop their career. You’ll work flexibly across site and office, with the option to work from home, managing key commercial functions and supporting the successful delivery of live projects.

The business offers a genuinely flexible approach to working, with a hands-on and approachable Managing Director who is heavily involved in projects and known for looking after their team. The team is currently around 5 people, offering a close-knit environment with plenty of opportunity to grow as the business continues to expand.

They work with Tier 1 contractors and main contractors and have an exciting pipeline of secured projects with major clients, making this a great opportunity to join a stable business with strong future prospects and real career development.

Façade or cladding experience would be beneficial but isn’t essential — the focus is on someone commercially aware, proactive, and confident managing projects and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  * Managing valuations, variations, and cost reporting on live projects

  * Procuring subcontractors and managing accounts through to final account

  * Preparing interim applications, payment assessments, and final accounts

  * Working closely with site teams and project managers to track costs and variations

  * Maintaining accurate commercial records and ensuring effective cost control

Requirements

  * Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction (circa 2 to 4 years)

  * Strong understanding of cost control and commercial processes

  * Ability to manage subcontractor accounts independently

  * Good communication skills and confidence working with site teams

  * Organised and commercially focused approach
