Job Description
Quantity Surveyor (minimum 4 years UK experience) - Up to £45K - Central London
Our client is a leading specialist construction and refurbishment contractor covering projects within the Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Residential sector,
Due to continued growth they seek a Quantity Surveyor at Intermediate level who has ideally worked for a subcontractor within a cut & carve, groundwork, RC Frame, Blocwork sector.
On going training and support is given to the right individual as well as support in Day Release qualification if required.
Our client is seeking a career driven, excellent communicator who wants to define their career with a growing construction business delivering excellent post contract commercial work within the UK Construction market.
Daily duties
* Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
* Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
* Undertake cost analysis for fit out and refurbishment projects
* Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
* Working in accordance with the HSQE Management System requirements
* Perform risk, value management and cost control
* Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks
* Allocate work to subcontractors
* Provide advice on contractual claims
* Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
* Value completed work and arrange payments
* Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
* Understand the implications of health and safety regulations and other compliance obligationsBefore You Apply
