About the Role:
Are you a creative and digitally savvy communicator looking to build experience in internal communications? Our client is seeking an Internal Communications Intern to support effective internal messaging, employee engagement initiatives, and the promotion of the organisation's internal profile. This role offers hands-on involvement in campaigns, content creation, and channel management, providing a strong foundation in internal communications within a corporate environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
Recent graduate or early-career professional, ideally with exposure to communications, marketing, or related roles through studies, placements, or internships.
Familiarity with social media and digital communication tools is desirable.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, working both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including colleagues at all levels up to Managing Director.
Qualifications:
Degree (completed or in progress) in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with platforms such as Viva Engage, SharePoint, or Unily is an advantage but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in drafting, editing, and distributing internal communications, including intranet updates, internal social platforms, and organisational announcements.
Support the planning and delivery of internal campaigns and staff events to enhance employee engagement.
Help maintain intranet and internal communication platforms, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and engaging.
Collaborate with colleagues across the business to source stories, case studies, and other content for internal sharing.
Assist in creating visual assets such as infographics and presentations and help track communication metrics and feedback to improve effectiveness.
Research best practices in internal communications and employee engagement, bringing fresh ideas to ongoing projects.
