Job Description

Electrical Sales Engineer 

Leeds area 

Technically qualified engineer required for an internal sales engineering role for a growing organisation in the Leeds area. Ideally you will have some relevant work or placement experience in and a second language would also be of great interest. 

You will initially work with existing clients maintaining relationships, processing, and managing customer orders and providing technical support. Your role as a Sales Engineer will be 80% office based in Leeds and will include:

·Liaising with existing customers on a day-to-day basis regarding orders, post sales enquiries & issues

·Providing comprehensive technical support by phone, email and face to face when necessary

·Building up and managing excellent customer relationships with distributors and end users 

·Up selling and cross selling where possible

·Researching and cold calling new and potential customers

·Providing quotations, producing BOM's and purchasing from existing suppliers

·Working with internal development teams and external manufacturers to ensure client specifications are met 

You will be :

·A confident engineer with excellent communication skills happy to take on a sales role

·Hold a relevant technical qualification: Electronics, Electrical, Control systems, Automation or Mechanical (must understand electrical fundamentals)

·Have excellent communication and persuasive skills

·Have confident administration and organisational skills 

·Be a good problem solver

·Ideally have worked in a sales or customer support role 

·Hold a full UK driving licence 

We are particularly keen to hear from people with:

·A second language

·Experience in ATEX environments, beneficial but not essential.

·Knowledge of materials handling or special purpose machinery 

·Experience with sensors and instrumentation 

You will work with a friendly and well-established team for a long-standing business with an excellent reputation and low staff turnover. They will provide one to one training and the opportunity to develop the role into different areas of the business.
