Job Title: Internal Technical Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary / Pay Rate: £40k - £50k
Shift / Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 16:30 (flexibility is available)

About the Company
We're working with a well-established international manufacturer renowned for their high-quality cutting tool solutions. They're seeking a detail-oriented and technically minded Internal Technical Engineer to join their team in Birmingham.
Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer with a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and technical expertise in the cutting tool industry. Their UK operation is a centre of excellence, offering in-house manufacturing, coating facilities, and a wide portfolio of standard and bespoke tooling solutions serving multiple sectors, including automotive, aerospace, and general engineering.
The Role
In this position, you'll be a key technical resource for customers, sales teams, and internal departments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Providing expert technical support using your engineering and manufacturing knowledge
Preparing quotations for bespoke tooling solutions
Investigating and resolving performance issues with cutting tools
Collaborating with overseas technical teams on tooling packages and project development
Communicating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Working closely with sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Delivering internal training and keeping up to date with product innovations
About You:
A strong technical background in machining, cutting tools, or manufacturing processes (essential)
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindsetHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Competence with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally some CAD or SolidWorks experienceBefore You Apply
