Job Description
Our client is a specialist UK logistics provider with over 30 years’ experience delivering high‑consequence cargo including government, defence, nuclear, medical, and high‑value shipments by road, air and sea, supported by accredited secure warehousing and screening services. As a Regulated Agent and member of IATA, BIFA, FTA and FIATA, they deliver excellence through integrity, adaptability, strategic focus and strict compliance.
Continued growth has created a new opportunuty for an International Freight Forwarding Operator. The IFFO will be an experienced and detail- oriented person with Customs and Trade Compliance experience for both import and export and will be part of the Global Operations Team.
The IFFO will have strong freight forwarding operational capabilities to join the expanding logistics and international forwarding team. This hybrid role will support customs clearance processes, ensure trade compliance across global supply chains, and provide operational freight forwarding support across air, sea and road modes.
This role requires proficiency in ASM Sequoia, BoxTop, and other forwarding systems, with the ability to cut AWBs, produce Bills of Lading (BoLs), and manage full-cycle shipment documentation and customs entries across the UK and international markets.
Experience Required:
Essential:
*
Proven experience in UK Customs Clearance (import/export).
*
Hands-on experience using ASM Sequoia for customs entries.
*
Proficiency in cutting AWBs, BoLs, and completing all shipping documentation.
*
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes (air/sea/road).
*
Experience using BoxTop or similar Freight Management Systems (FMS/TMS).
*
Solid understanding of Incoterms, HS codes, valuation, and origin rules.
*
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Desireable:
*
Working knowledge of CDS (Customs Declaration Service) migration.
*
Familiarity with trade compliance procedures and export controls.
*
Previous use of Descartes, CNS, or port community systems.
*
Multimodal freight forwarding background.
*
AUKUS Treaty knowledge.
*
