Job Description
Veritas Education is looking for a committed and proactive Intervention Support Assistant to work within a secondary school in Kirklees. This role involves supporting students who require additional help to achieve their academic potential, focusing on targeted interventions in core subjects.
Responsibilities:
Deliver small group and one-to-one intervention sessions in English, Maths, and other subjects as required.
Support pupils with SEND and those who need catch-up support.
Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teaching staff and the SENCO.
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure effective learning strategies.Requirements:
Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.
Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
