We are seeking a caring, proactive SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted support for pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to deliver structured interventions that develop communication, emotional regulation, engagement, and learning progress.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver SEN-specific intervention sessions such as phonics support, social and emotional learning (SEL), communication development, and sensory-based activities.

Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH needs, and speech and language needs.
*
Adapt resources and activities to individual learning styles and SEN support plans.
*
Implement consistent strategies to promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
*
Liaise closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to support personalised targets.
*
Track, record, and report pupil progress to inform ongoing support.
*
Create a calm, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
About You
*
Experience working with children with SEN in an educational or care setting.
*
Strong understanding of SEN strategies, communication methods, and differentiated learning.
*
Patient, resilient, and confident working with complex or challenging needs.
*
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*
Relevant SEN training or qualifications (desirable but not essential).
