Intrinsic Safety Engineer
Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum
Location: Remote (UK-Based)
Hours: Standard 40 hours per week (flexible start finish times)

We're currently looking for skilled Intrinsic Safety Engineers with 2+ years of experience to join a cutting-edge engineering firm known for innovation and quality. This is a fully remote role, offering the freedom to work from anywhere in the UK while being part of a supportive and expert-led team.
Intrinsic Safety Engineers responsibilities:
Lead intrinsic safety evaluations and assessments across a range of complex systems and components
Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IECEx, ATEX, and ISO 80079
Collaborate with design engineers to integrate intrinsic safety requirements into product development
Generate and review technical documentation including safety files, FMEAs, and certification reports
Liaise with certification bodies to manage the approval process
Support customers with technical safety queries and provide expert consultancy
Intrinsic Safety Engineers Experience:
Strong background in intrinsic safety, ideally within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors
Solid understanding of relevant safety standards (ATEX, IECEx, etc.)
Proven experience preparing technical documentation for product certification
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related discipline
