Our client is a leading distributor of high-quality leisure and sporting products. Due to continued growth they are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Planner to join their team.
You will play a critical role in ensuring optimal inventory levels, forecasting demand, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Your goal will be to ensure that they have the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time to meet customer demand and support their business objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute inventory plans to meet sales and service objectives.
* Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocks.
* Monitor and analyse inventory performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and purchasing teams to align inventory strategies with business goals.
* Monitor and report on stock and purchase commitments against open to buy budgets
* Maintain accurate inventory records and manage inventory-related data in the ERP system.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and manage lead times effectively.
* Provide regular reports on inventory status, forecast accuracy, and other key metrics.
* Contribute to process and systems improvement.
Requirements:
* Experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
