Job Description
Gateshead Council is currently seeking an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive local authority that values quality practice and positive outcomes for children.
Role: Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO)
Location: Gateshead Council
Pay rate: £34.45 per hour
Contract: Ongoing, full-time
As an IRO, you will play a key role in overseeing and reviewing care plans for looked after children, ensuring their voices are heard, and promoting best practice in line with statutory requirements.
Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England registration
