Job Description
Islington Council - Qualified Social Worker - MASH Team (Part Time)
Pay Rate: £37.52 per hour (Umbrella)
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Screen and assess referrals relating to children at risk or in need of support.
* Gather and share information across multiple agencies (police, health, education) to support decision-making.
* Determine the level of intervention required, including immediate safeguarding actions or appropriate service referrals.
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to ensure a coordinated safeguarding approach.
* Maintain high-quality, accurate records and ensure all work complies with statutory and ethical standards.
* Communicate effectively with families and professionals regarding concerns, decisions, and outcomes.
Working Pattern:
* Part time - 0.5 post
* Hybrid working arrangements
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Social Work England Registration
* Relevant experience within a MASH or similar safeguarding environment
* Sound understanding of child protection legislation and procedures
