A unique opportunity has arisen to join a supportive and inspiring rural school specialising in educating young people aged 11-17 with Asperger’s Syndrome and autism. The school provides a nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher (QTS) to deliver engaging lessons up to GCSE level. Classes are small, typically with 6 students, allowing for personalised teaching and attention. Each class benefits from additional Learning Support Assistant (LSA) support to ensure the best outcomes for the learners.

Role details:
Deliver Computer Science lessons up to GCSE level to small classes of 5-6 students
Collaborate closely with LSAs to tailor learning experiences
Support the social and educational development of students with Asperger’s and autism
Full-time hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexible arrangements on start and finish times can be discussed)
Contract length currently uncertain; there is strong potential for the position to become ongoing
Candidate requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Computer Science up to GCSE level
Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and experience working with young people with additional needs preferred
Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
