Job Description

IT Manager (Azure / M365 / Infrastructure Ownership)

Location: South Manchester, (onsite 3/4 days a week)

Salary: Up to £60,000 Per Annum

The Opportunity:

This is a hands-on IT Manager role with real ownership.

You’ll take full responsibility for a modern, cloud-first environment, acting as the senior technical lead on-site. The business has already invested heavily in Microsoft technologies, now they need someone to own, optimise and evolve it.

This would suit either:

  * An experienced IT Manager who still enjoys being technical

Or

  * a Senior Infrastructure Engineer ready to step into leadership

What you’ll be doing:

  * Owning and improving the Azure and M365 environment

  * Leading on identity, security and access (Entra ID / Azure AD)

  * Managing infrastructure including networking, firewalls and Wi-Fi

  * Overseeing endpoint management (Intune / Autopilot)

  * Ensuring backup, DR and business continuity are fit for purpose

  * Acting as the senior escalation point for technical issues

  * Working closely with stakeholders to align IT with business needs

  * Managing vendors and third-party providers

What they’re looking for

  * Strong Microsoft stack experience (Azure + M365)

  * Solid infrastructure background (networking, firewalls, endpoints)

  * Experience in a cloud-first or SaaS environment

  * Comfortable taking ownership and making technical decisions

  * Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams

Previous experience with security frameworks or compliance is a bonus — not essential
