Job Description

Our superb client with offices based in Huntingdon are seeking an IT Manager to join them on a permanent full time basis working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm. This role will be a hybrid position following training and induction so you must live within an hour of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of experience in IT support who is ready to step up and take ownership in a broad and varied role. Key Responsibilities: * Provide day-to-day technical support to internal users via ticketing system, calls, and on-site visits * Manage the full software and hardware life-cycle: * Identify and implement AI tools to improve efficiency, while ensuring ethical and secure use * Configure, install, and maintain IT equipment and user accounts (Windows, Office 365, etc..) * Support on-boarding/off-boarding processes including device setup and recovery * Ensure IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and well-maintained * Document and escalate incidents, including cybersecurity threats, as per protocol * Maintain backup, recovery, risk, and archive strategies * Assist with updates, routine maintenance, backups and internal IT projects * Help define and uphold internal IT standards, procedures, and user expectations To be considered for the IT Manager position you will have * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT support or hands on management role * Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience * Solid knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, basic networking * Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and ITSM/ticketing platforms * Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Share Point) * Experience with AI tools and implementation * Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills * Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently * Ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users * Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail For the role of IT Manager you can expect to receive * Starting Salary from £35,000 * 30 days holiday including public holiday increasing with service * Hybrid/flexible working model * Ongoing training and development support * Friendly and supportive team culture / Regular team social events * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Paid sick leave and flexible hours * Additional leave for birthdays or life events * Cycle to work scheme / Free on site Parking * Recognition and reward schemes / Employee referral bonus Please apply to be considered interviews are scheduled as CV reviewed.
