IT Projects Accountant – AAT or ACCA or CIMA
* 37.5 hour week.
* Full time – permanent role.
* Full onsite.
* Will suit car owner/commuter, as not close to public transport routes regrettably.
* Comfortable salary for my client to 33K. A little more for a particularly strong professional.

Responsibilities:
Please note, you will not need to be highly technical in IT, but will have the ability to put a basic IT system together. Your accounting skills will however be at AAT level.
You will be approx. 75% accounting focused and 25% IT project focused in this role. We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Project Accountant to support the financial and operational management of our clients projects. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate project setup, financial tracking, and ongoing coordination between finance and project teams. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with both numbers, accounting, IT and people, and who takes pride in keeping projects running smoothly so that key decision makers can make informed choices.
You will have responsibility for providing accounting support within the wider finance team as needed, focusing on financial projects and supporting financial constraints of IT projects.
Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
Assist with project invoicing, timesheet tracking, and month‑end processes
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including interim budgets.
Help ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
Experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally with exposure to project environments.
Contribute to compliance with tax, PAYE, VAT, pensions, and insurance obligations.
Learn and contribute to the development of financial controls and systems.
Act as the internal point of contact for IT matters, coordinating with external IT consultants and support providers.
Support the improvement of IT systems.
Promote data protection compliance.
Preferred Experience:
* AAT qualified or studying and/or looking to study for ACCA or CIMA.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Interest in IT systems, digital tools, or tech-enabled process improvement· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical mindset, thorough attention to detail.
* Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
