IT Support Technician
The Opportunity:
This is an extremely varied, hands on IT Support Technician's role looking after the company's hardware, software and network capabilities. You will predominently be based on one site just outside of Honiton, so transport is required. The IT Support Technician will provide user support on a range of hardware, software and network issues, whilst ensuring that security is at the forefront of the operation. A fabulous role for a talented IT Support Engineer or Technician.
Job Responsibilities:
Hardware and Software Support: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software, including operating systems, phone systems, applications, and peripherals.
User Support: Helping users with technical issues, answering questions, and guiding them through troubleshooting steps. Training users on new software and hardware and providing ongoing support.
Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of support calls using an in-house ticket system and supporting the IT Manager with various admin tasks.
Network: Ensure network security at all times.
Inventory Management: Tracking and managing IT hardware and software assets.
Data Security: Ensure all laptops, workstations and mobile phones have the latest security updates installed.Skills Required:
Level 2/3 IT support with 3-5 years’ experience
Software installations and updates
Minimum qualification level of: ‘A’ Level in IT, Btech / NVQ Level 3 in IT
IFS and or Oracle software systems experience would be highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems IT infrastructure and security.
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
Be available to work weekends and travel overseas (with notice) if and as required.Associated Benefits:

Full time – 40 hour week, 8.30-5 Mon to Thurs and 8.30-1 Fri
