This role involves supporting the northern locations in Bradford, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.
About the role:
Lead a local IT support team to ensure service targets are being met and all processes are followed
Support the business services team to instil processes, quality of service and industry best practices throughout your service area
Drive the very best from direct reports and teams by providing clarity, feedback, coaching, and development while continuously seeking to enhance performance
Ensure all requests are logged and managed to completion on the service management tool
Report weekly and monthly KPIs to the head of service delivery to show performance trajectoryContinually review processes and ensure they are fit for purpose, improved upon where needed and adhered toEnsure IT systems, services and resources enable compliance with relevant standards / policies and meet associated criteria
Work with head of service delivery to drive improvement of service management and process mapping tools across the IT function
Manage trends of requests to identify delivery gaps within the service; build and manage remediation and escalate where necessary to drive positive outcomes
Deliver effective incident management, problem management, change management and other ITIL lifecycle processes as required
Implement best practices across the IT service lifecycle; ensure IT systems, services and resources are compliant with regulatory guidance and standards
Ensure that all requests for IT support, services, or resources are dealt with according to agreed and documented procedures
Deliver the agreed IT refresh programme, as set out by the head of service delivery and / or head of COE for the timely refresh of IT equipment across our trust
Perform audits against proactive maintenance schedules service compliance and create their associated remediation
Maintain and produce up-to-date documentation for services and systems to support change management, transition of services to service delivery and troubleshooting efforts
Uphold procedures relating to asset management for IT hardware, software, and other IT equipment across our trust
Contribute to the continuity of services by covering other IT leadership roles and supporting your team on the ground
Ensure service delivery resources are available, and individuals are deployed where and when needed to ensure quality of service
Work as part of a larger team to support multiple academiesEnsure servicing and maintenance schedules are undertaken at the most operationally / convenient timesInduct and train employees on policies, processes, agreed technical standards
Facilitate training and development programs for IT staff within business services
Engage fully in the trust’s professional growth process to fulfil personal potential and be able to participate effectively in the implementation of the trust’s / academy's strategic big moves
Attend meetings / training and carry out administrative tasks and duties as specified on the trust and academy calendars
Consistently implement all Trust policies; contribute to decision-making and consultation procedures
Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to a designated safeguarding lead
Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the head of service delivery
