Job Description

IT Technician 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year The College’s core day is 8.30am to 4.00pm, but flexibility within the team ensures that the College has IT Support at both the start and end of the day. Salary: £27,684 (inclusive of fringe allowance) The role The College is looking to appoint an IT Technician to join our IT Support team and assist in the smooth running of the IT function, for approximately 180 staff and 1800 students. The successful candidate will have a practical, problem-solving approach to tasks and be able to manage their time efficiently if working on an independent task. This role requires good communication and inter-personal skills as the successful candidate will be interacting with staff and students daily and providing hands-on support. You will assist with helpdesk issues and the maintenance of the College’s IT systems, working closely with the team and assisting staff and students as necessary. The College has a strong sense of community, we are looking for an exceptional candidate who can contribute positively to the department which consists of the Director of IT & Digital Strategy, IT Network Manager plus 2 IT Technicians.
