Religious Education Lecturer Opportunity – Start September | Flexible Hours | Potential for Permanent Role
Strategy Education is proud to be working in partnership with a respected ITT (Initial Teacher Training) provider who is currently seeking a passionate and experienced RE Teacher to join their team for the upcoming academic year.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual with strong subject knowledge, teaching experience, and a genuine enthusiasm for developing future educators.
Role Overview:
* Start Date: September (New Academic Year)
* Contract: Initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent
* Hours: Hourly paid, flexible working pattern
* Location: Classroom-based for the first 6 weeks; remote and self-managed thereafter
You’ll begin the term with in-class delivery, supporting trainee teachers in their early development. Following this period, your role will evolve to include organising school visits, mentoring trainees, and attending meetings—largely managing your own schedule.
Candidate Requirements:
* A relevant undergraduate degree (History or related field)
* Previous teaching or teacher training experience preferred
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A genuine passion for teacher education
Compliance:
All applicants will be subject to background checks including:
* Enhanced DBS
* Right to work in the UK
* Two references, one of which must be your most recent teaching post
