Title: Japanese speaking Researcher
Salary: Hourly rate £20.00p/h = £36,400.00 per annum (non-negotiable)

Japanese speaking Researcher - Responsibilities:
Business Support
* Assisted with organizing events such as seminars and study sessions, mainly for the Africa Desk (venue booking, sending invitations, handling registrations, preparing materials, setting up the venue, reception, guiding guests, etc.)
* Communicated and scheduled meetings with government offices, companies, and experts
* Helped build networks with key people for event planning and cooperation
Research Support
* Collected information about politics, economy, and industries in the Global South (especially Africa) using websites, newspapers, seminars, and interviews
* Created presentation slides and short reports based on the collected information
* Arranged and joined meetings with experts and wrote meeting notes
* Supported outsourced research (contact with contractors, checking reports, helping with paperwork)
General Tasks
* Helped with various admin tasks such as writing meeting minutes, preparing documents, answering phones, booking meeting rooms, filing, and sending mail
Japanese speaking Researcher - Requirements:
* A good command of written and spoken English and Japanese (JLPT N2 level and above).
* The confidence and enthusiasm to be able to speak intelligently about the current economic situation in the UK.- Good interview technique and report writing skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to use them effectively for work purposes (including creating charts and tables in Excel).
* Knowledge/experience of Japanese business practices.
* This role is office based (no WFH)
