Agency: Search Consultancy Location: Sunderland Search Consultancy is looking for a Skilled Joiner to join our busy construction teams across Sunderland. We are partnering with leading main contractors and major house builders who require precision and pace on high-quality structural framing, internal fit-outs, and final timber finishing.
If you are a craftsman who thrives in a productivity-driven environment and can deliver seamless installations from joists to jewelry-level finishes, we have immediate starts and long-term runs of work available now.
The Role
* First Fix: Expert installation of floor joists, roof trusses, stud partitions, and window frames to strict structural specifications.
* Second Fix: Precision fitting of internal doors, architraves, skirting boards, and integrated cabinetry.
* Kitchen & Component Fitting: High-standard installation of modular kitchens, worktops, and bespoke timber units.
* Hardware & Ironmongery: Ensuring all locks, latches, and furniture are fitted with a "snag-free" finish for client handover.
* Productivity Driven: We need Joiners used to the physical demands of high-volume residential and commercial sites who can maintain speed without compromising on the quality of the finish.
Requirements
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Site Carpentry or Joinery is essential.
* CSCS Card: A valid Blue or Gold card is mandatory.
* Tools & PPE: Full professional kit (110v or cordless) and standard 5-point PPE. Must have own transportation.
* Safety First: Abrasive Wheels and Manual Handling certifications are highly desirable.
* Experience: A proven track record in new-build residential plot finishing or large-scale commercial internal fit-outs.
* Reliability: Must be able to work as part of a finishing team to hit strict project deadlines and handover dates.
* Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
