Job Description

Main job: Build, install, and strip formwork for concrete structures on a Carbon Capture facility new build, ensuring accuracy and safety. Key Responsibilities 1. Formwork: Build and install shuttering for walls, slabs, beams 2. Accuracy: Ensure levels, alignment, and tolerances meet specs 3. Safety: Follow site rules, wear PPE, secure work areas 4. Teamwork: Work with concreters, groundworkers, engineers 5. Materials: Handle timber, plywood, proprietary systems 6. Compliance: Meet BS and project standards Requirements – UK 2026 - Quals: NVQ Level 2/3 in Joinery or Formwork - Experience: 2-5 years formwork on construction sites - Skills: Reading plans, accurate measurements, manual handling - Certs: CSCS card (carpenter/joiner) Typical Day - AM: Briefing, collect materials - Work: Build, install, fix - PM: Tidy, report issues
