About the Role:
As our domestic joiner, you'll be responsible for a wide variety of joinery tasks within occupied and void social housing properties. This role requires versatility, a strong customer focus, and a commitment to delivering excellent standards of repair and maintenance. Your key responsibilities will include:
First Fix Joinery: Including timber framing, floor joists, roofing structures, and window/door frames as required.
Second Fix Joinery: Installing doors, architraves, skirting boards, staircases, kitchen units, ironmongery, and various fixtures and fittings.
Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnosing and rectifying joinery defects, undertaking reactive repairs, and planned maintenance tasks within residents' homes.
Customer Service: Interacting respectfully and professionally with residents, ensuring minimal disruption and clear communication.
Working efficiently and cleanly, leaving properties tidy upon completion.
Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven and highly experienced as a domestic joiner.
Experienced in social housing or similar residential maintenance environments.
A valid CSCS card is essential for this role.
Asbestos awareness and manual handling.
Possesses excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills for repairs.
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging positively with residents.
Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated, with a strong work ethic.
Committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Full UK driving licence.
