Role Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Joiner to join our client's responsive repairs and planned works team. The ideal candidate will have a background in domestic works, with the ability to deliver high-quality joinery in both occupied and void properties.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out all aspects of joinery work including repairs, replacements, and installations in social housing properties
Respond to both planned maintenance and reactive repair jobs
Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards and relevant regulations
Communicate professionally with tenants, housing officers, and site management
Travel to various sites across the Middlesbrough, primarily within housing estates and community schemes
Requirements
Proven experience as a Joiner, ideally within a social housing or public sector setting
Ability to carry out a broad range of joinery tasks, including door hanging, skirting, kitchen fitting, and window repairs
Previous supervisory experience on maintenance or refurbishment projects
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication and customer service skills, especially when working in occupied homes
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in team settings
