An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Joinery Design Manager to join a specialist contractor delivering a prestigious high-end residential project in the heart of Mayfair.
This is a rare chance to work on one of London’s most exclusive private properties, overseeing bespoke joinery design and ensuring flawless execution in line with the client’s exacting standards.
The Role:
As Joinery Design Manager, you will be the key interface between the client, design consultants, and the in-house joinery production team. Your role will be to coordinate, develop, and manage all design aspects relating to bespoke joinery, ensuring seamless integration with the overall design intent and construction programme.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the design development of all bespoke joinery elements across the project
* Liaise with architects, interior designers, and specialist subcontractors to coordinate technical details
* Review and approve detailed joinery drawings and samples
* Ensure all design work complies with client specifications, building regulations, and project deadlines
* Work closely with production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure manufacturability
* Attend design meetings and site inspections as required
* Maintain meticulous design records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Joinery Design Manager or Senior Joinery Designer role
* Strong background in high-end residential projects, ideally within central London
* Excellent knowledge of bespoke joinery design, detailing, materials, and manufacturing processes
* Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
* Highly organised, with a strong eye for detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship
