A leading bespoke joinery company in London is seeking an experienced Joinery Site & Workshop Supervisor to manage both on-site installation and workshop operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for a highly organised professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities – Site:
* Supervise and guide the joinery installation team on-site.
* Assist installers with joinery fitting and use tools as needed.
* Resolve installation or delivery issues efficiently.
* Ensure installed joinery is properly protected during ongoing site works.
* Liaise with clients, site managers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
* Coordinate installation requirements and timelines with main contractors.
* Lead and support installers to maintain standards and meet deadlines.
* Ensure on-site work matches workshop output and design specifications.
* Confirm delivery timings and adjust schedules as necessary.
* Enforce all health & safety regulations on site.
* Manage communications related to on-site joinery, materials, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities – Workshop:
* Supervise daily joinery manufacturing operations.
* Plan and schedule workflow to meet project deadlines.
* Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and craftsmanship.
* Ensure materials are correct, available, and well-organised.
* Maintain tools and machinery in safe, working condition.
* Assign tasks and support workshop staff to ensure efficient teamwork.
* Organise joinery preparation for delivery, including packing, protection, and labelling.
* Plan and coordinate movement of joinery between workshop and site.
* Schedule and arrange transport to ensure timely delivery.
* Conduct delivery checks to confirm all components are ready for installation.
* Maintain workshop safety procedures and a clean working environment.
* Advise and mentor workshop staff to maintain quality and efficiency.
* Respond to emails and queries related to joinery, materials, assembly, and delivery.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience supervising joinery teams both on-site and in a workshop.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe working practices.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
