Job Description
A busy, friendly finance team is looking for a Junior Accountant to support the Finance Manager across all aspects of the accounts function. Along with a salary of up to £38,000 per annum, you will also receive:

What you’ll be doing as Junior Accountant:
You’ll be involved in sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book, and month-end support — and will also oversee two team members who handle much of the day-to-day processing.
Key responsibilities:
Supervising and supporting two finance team members who manage invoice and payment processing.
Overseeing both sales and purchase ledgers, including raising invoices, reconciling statements, and resolving queries.
Maintaining and reconciling the cash book and bank accounts.
Assisting the Finance Manager with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and investigations.
Spotting and resolving discrepancies.
We’re looking for a Junior Accountant with:
A good grounding in finance, ideally AAT Level 3 qualified or currently studying.
Experience in both sales and purchase ledger.
Confident with Excel and accounting software (Sage, Xero, or similar).
Someone who’s naturally analytical, inquisitive, and enjoys solving problems.
A team player who’s reliable, organised, and keen to learn.
It is crucial that you have your own transport as the office is based in a rural location.
