Junior CNC Programmer – The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior CNC Programmer to join our busy manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting and coordinating the CNC production process by working closely with various departments across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their CNC programming skills in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. You’ll be involved in preparing and running CNC programs, ensuring accurate and efficient machining, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our production processes.
Junior CNC Programmer – Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare CNC machining data in a timely fashion to meet the demands of the fabrication programme
- Check, test and modify data (macros) as necessary ensuring accuracy and compliance with the system supplier’s fabrication manuals and any other supplementary information or details that may be required
- Produce control samples for checking of critical and new machining’s
- Maximise CNC efficiency and utilisation
- Run CNC Programmes as and when required
- Assist with CNC machine maintenance and servicing liaising with HOD as and when required in the event of breakdown or malfunction
- Provide cover for other members of staff as may be required from time to time
- Be proactive with regards to continuous improvement and provide feedback on ways to improve the performance of the department and interfaces with it
Carry out any other duties that may be deemed necessary for the completion of the works by the company and/or the line manager
Junior CNC Programmer – You:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work without supervision with excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Understanding of Aluminium windows, doors, and curtain walling
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team
