Junior Field Service Engineer

Location: Calne, Wiltshire
Rates: £16.00 per hour paye
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (40 Hours)
Contract Length: 12 Months with a view to going Permanent

We are recruiting a Junior Field Service Engineer to join a rapidly growing engineering organisation supporting some of the UK's most important rail infrastructure projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone either early in their electrical career or someone just starting their career who wants to progress into a specialist field-based engineering role.

Over the first 12 months, you'll receive comprehensive training designed to develop you into a skilled electrically biased HVAC and Rail infrastructure Engineer, giving you valuable niche skills that are highly sought after within the industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with installation and commissioning activities
Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults
Supporting planned and reactive maintenance works
Interpreting and working from engineering drawings and schematics
Travelling to customer sites across the UK
Working closely with senior engineers to develop your technical expertise
The Ideal Candidate

You will be newly qualified and have a strong electrical mindset, who is keen to carry on their learning.

We are looking for someone with:

Knowledge of 3 phase Electrical systems, DC Control Units and Basic understanding of PLC systems (Desirable)
Confident in reading and following electrical engineering drawings
You must live within a 30-minute radius of Calne.
Essential Criteria

Proven electrical fault-finding experience
Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical engineering.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screening.
