Job Title: Junior Ocean Freight Forwarder
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 (DOE) plus bonus
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role:
We're working with a well-established and growing freight forwarder who is looking to add a Junior Ocean Freight Forwarder to their Dudley team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with around 1-2 years' freight forwarding experience (ideally within ocean freight) who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop their skills further in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the day-to-day coordination of ocean freight shipments (import and/or export)
Supporting the preparation of shipping documentation and customs clearance processes
Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers, and customers
Monitoring shipments, updating clients, and ensuring smooth end-to-end operations
Providing administrative and operational support to the senior forwarding team
Maintaining accurate records on the company's freight management system
Candidate Requirements:
1-2 years' experience in a freight forwarding role (ocean freight experience highly desirable)
Eager to learn and develop within international logistics
Strong communication and organisational skills
IT literate with good attention to detail
Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
