Job Description

We are a recruiting for a Junior IT Assistant join a successful and growing company based in St Albans. Our client is one of the leading players in their field, they're a friendly, sociable company with a relaxed yet professional atmosphere.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual with knowledge and a passion for IT!

This position is ideal for a candidate looking to build on their IT skills and experience. This is an excellent opportunity with encouraged development and progression on offer!

What’s in it for you?

  * Salary: Up to £28k depending on experience

  * Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm, there is also an early rota. Early shifts start at 7:30am - 4pm. 1-day WFH and 4 days in the office after training period

Key responsibilities:

  * Provide support to internal and external users

  * Prioritise and respond to tickets that come from multiple channels such as email, phone, chat and walk-ups

  * Communicating with customers to help them resolve any technical issues

  * Perform diagnostic and route cause analysis

  * Monitoring and maintenance of computer systems and networks, including installing, configuring, and patching computer hardware, operating systems and applications

  * No Service Desk/IT work experience required (entry level role)

  * Proactive attitude with a desire to help people

  * An enthusiasm to learn (technical and core skills)

  * A keen interest in computers and technology

  * Excellent written and communication skills

  * Good organisation and prioritising skills

  * Ability to take initiative and actively work to improve your skills and knowledge
