Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
Bonus: Up to 5% annual bonus (linked to progression)
Working week: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Hybrid role onsite and from home)

The Opportunity
You'll receive continuous training and support towards recognised industry qualifications, alongside a structured career path The role offers the chance to visit manufacturing sites across the UK (and occasionally overseas), working with a broad client base including food and beverage, bottling and packaging, building materials, and tarmac.
You'll be joining an experienced team with strong examples of internal progression, where individuals have developed from assessor level into senior leadership roles.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about machinery safety, physically fit (as the role involves walking around manufacturing sites), and brings a proactive, enthusiastic approach to learning and development.
The Role
As a Junior Machinery Safety Assessor, you will:
Visit client sites to learn how to carry out machinery safety assessments
Support senior and lead assessors on projects
Learn how to conduct assessments in line with industry standards (PUWER)
Review and interpret electrical drawings
Learn how to provide recommendations to improve machinery safety and compliance
Requirements
The role of Junior Machinery Safety Assessor requires:
A full UK driving licence and access to a car - Mileage reimbursed
Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays (fully expensed)
Strong written and spoken English
Good computer literacy
Experience & Skills:
Some knowledge or interest in Health & Safety
Ability or willingness to learn how to read electrical drawings (a key skill)
Experience with PUWER assessments is beneficial but not essential
Qualifications:
Electrical, mechanical, or H&S-related qualifications is advantageous
CMCE, CECE, CFSE, FSENG would be an advantage but most importantly is attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.Location
Ideal locations for a candidate to live would be Suffolk, Yorkshire or Leeds due to high client demand in those areas.Career Progression
