Junior Process Engineer (Gas/ Hydrogen)- £32,000- £38,000- Southern England The Role Are you a Chemical Engineering graduate looking to build your career on a complex, high-performing production site? This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Process Engineer to join a major UK energy operation and grow your skills in a hands-on, supportive environment. As a Junior Process Engineer, you will support the safe and efficient running of process systems across a large-scale COMAH site. Working closely with operations, maintenance and engineering teams, this role offers valuable hands-on experience while building technical expertise. The position also provides exposure to both day-to-day plant operations and future-focused energy projects, helping shape the transition to low-carbon solutions. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support to operations, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities for optimisation Support process design work for plant modifications and projects Assist with commissioning activities and planned shutdowns Develop project scopes, schedules, and technical documentation Ensure compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards Support performance reporting and forecasting activities Assist with maintenance planning and reliability improvements Get involved in hydrogen and low-carbon energy developments The Company Our client operates one of the UK’s largest onshore gas storage and processing facilities. The site handles complex processes such as separation, compression, and liquefaction. With major investment planned, the business is expanding into hydrogen and low-carbon energy. This means the Junior Process Engineer joining the team will be part of an organisation actively working towards a net zero future.
