Job Description

Junior Quantity Surveyor – Residential & Commercial – Galway
We are currently partnering with a Tier 1 Main Contractor with bases across Ireland who have seen success across a number of projects. Due to continued success, there is now the need for an experienced Junior Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a multiple residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
Measurement & Take-Off Support
Assist the QS team with accurate measurement, take-offs, and quantification of materials for residential and commercial project packages in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
Cost Reporting & Financial Administration
Support the preparation of monthly cost reports, budget updates, cashflow forecasts, and financial tracking to ensure projects remain within budget and aligned with commercial targets.
Procurement Assistance
Help prepare enquiries, obtain subcontractor quotations, complete comparison analyses, and support the procurement of subcontract packages under the guidance of senior QS staff.
Subcontract Management & Documentation
Assist with drafting subcontract documents, processing variations, reviewing payment applications, updating registers, and ensuring commercial paperwork is accurate and compliant.
Site Liaison & Progress Monitoring
Attend site meetings, monitor progress against programme, gather site data for valuations, and support the QS team with regular reporting across multiple Galway project sites.
Requirements
Must have relevant degree level qualifications
Must have great communication skills both written and oral
Must have 1+ years’ post graduate experience
Must be based within a commutable distance of Galway
Benefits
€55,000 - €60,000 + Package
