Job Description

We’re working with a well-established and growing plant hire business who are looking to add a skilled Workshop Fitter to their engineering team.

The Role

You’ll be based in the workshop, responsible for maintaining and preparing a wide range of plant and construction equipment to the highest standards.

Key duties include:

  * 

    Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs

  * 

    Diagnosing faults across electrical and hydraulic systems

  * 

    Inspecting equipment on return and prior to hire

  * 

    Preparing, testing, and installing attachments

  * 

    Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer standards

  * 

    Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

About You

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around plant equipment and takes pride in doing the job properly.

You’ll ideally have:

  * 

    Knowledge of plant and construction equipment but small tools, agricultural etc. experience would be considered

  * 

    Experience in fault finding across hydraulic and electrical systems

  * 

    Welding skills

  * 

    NVQ (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance

  * 

    A proactive, team-focused attitude

  * 

    Good organisation and communication skills

Essentials

    Full UK Driving Licence

  * 

    Right to work in the UK
