Are you ready to be a cornerstone of impactful relationships in the renewable energy sector? Vissim is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager (KAM) to take a lead and grow strategic partnerships in the Offshore Wind sector. You will need to be passionate and instrumental in cultivating strong connections, driving commercial growth, ensuring client satisfaction and nurturing positive relationships with clients, partners and colleagues alike across a diverse and technical landscape. This role requires a deep understanding of the offshore wind value chain, strong commercial acumen and the ability to build long-term partnerships in a complex, technical, multi-cultural environment. As a KAM, you will serve as the primary commercial contact for designated accounts, ensuring alignment between client needs and our solutions. Your key role is to identify, develop and secure new business opportunities from offshore wind operators, Tier One contractors and specialist support companies, all of whom have use of marine management and communication systems. The position plays an important part in delivering on Vissim’s Offshore Wind strategy, ensuring account activity contributes to the sector’s long-term growth. The role objectives are: To manage and develop our existing accounts, driving and delivering value both for clients and for Vissim. These customers are concentrated in the UK and Northern Europe. To support the Vissim business development team to identify, develop and secure new business opportunities in the offshore wind sector. This will involve participating in industry events, building on your own network of contacts, collaborating with colleagues in creating tender response material and in some cases leading engagements with prospective clients. We are looking for a well-grounded individual with excellent interpersonal and communications skills who aligns with our values. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Account Management: Build, develop, maintain strong, trusting long-term relationships with key stakeholders, being the principle point of contact for Vissim’s European clients, and collaborating with international Customer Success and Customer Support teams to assist them in making full use of Vissim’s products and services, whilst holding primary accountability for customer satisfaction and business development. Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop, comprehensively plan and execute strategies for account growth in line with company and Offshore Wind sector objectives, ensuring alignment with long-term market and financial targets. Business Development: Identify, qualify and secure wind project opportunities driving sustainable revenue growth. Tender & Contract Management: Lead commercial engagement during bidding processes, including pricing strategy, contract negotiations and risk assessment. Stakeholder Engagement: Function as the internal voice of the customer, proactively understanding, identifying and addressing the client’s needs, issues and concerns, and as necessary propose new services to the Vissim Product team, working closely to find effective solutions. Industry Promotion: Represent the company at conferences, industry events, supplier forums and meetings as required, delivering presentations and promoting our services. Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to inform strategy, positioning, and adapt account strategies accordingly. Performance Tracking: Use company CRM tools and reporting formats to track and report on account progress, pipeline and results. Global Team Engagement: Work effectively with Vissim’s global teams in operations, support and product development to ensure smooth project delivery and maximise overall team performance. KEY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor or Master’s degree in business or technical disciplines, and/or, 5+ years’ experience and a strong network in account management/business development in the offshore wind or maritime sectors. Proven success in developing and managing high-value, complex client relationships. Proven ability to pursue opportunities and commercial negotiations across regions to a successful conclusion meeting account objectives. Strong initiative and motivation with a flexible, customer focused approach. Familiarity with the offshore wind project lifecycle (development, construction and O&M). Ability to work cross-functionally and align account activity with sector strategy while engaging senior stakeholders across sales, operations and product teams. Excellent, confident and accurate communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to motivate and influence at all levels. Effective and strong time management and team player skills whilst balancing multiple priorities. Good critical thinking, creative flair and problem-solving abilities. Ability and willingness to travel both nationally and internationally (mainly in the UK and Europe), including a clean, full driving license. The legal right to work in the UK, Norway or Slovakia at the time of application. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Willingness to complete technical and role-based training. Exposure to working with foreign languages and cultures. Alignment with Vissim’s company values. Desirable: Knowledge of permitting, regulatory frameworks, or local content requirements in key offshore wind markets. In-depth understanding of the offshore wind project lifecycle and industry dynamics. Technical knowledge or prior experience in RF, IP, and IT communication systems, particularly in marine or offshore environments. Experience selling SaaS solutions in the offshore wind or broader energy/technology sectors. Experience engaging with Tier 1 contractors and operators in tender processes.
