Merit Education are recruiting for the following exciting opportunity:
Job Title: KS1 Teacher
Location: Carlton
Start Date: Jan 2026
Duration: 8 Months
Shift Pattern: Full Time
Salary: Teacher Pay Scale Compliant

This primary school serving the Carlton area is well known for it’s pleasant environment and excellent reputation. It excels in SEND support and prides itself on its efforts and successes in being an inclusive environment. Learners are well equipped and supported to move on to the next phase of the education.
Vacancy Details:
* To teach to KS1 pupils
* Full time role covering maternity, set to start in Jan 2026 and to run through the entire of the rest of the 2025/2026 academic year
* To plan and to deliver lessons and to assess pupils progress
* To work in collaboration with other KS1 teachers, as well as the key stage lead and other members of SLT
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
* Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
* Experience of working as a teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
* Full enhanced DBS certificate
* Completion of the Merit Education Onboarding Process
* The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
* A minimum of 2 school based references
