KS1 Teaching Assistant - Shrewsbury 📚

Location: Shrewsbury
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only
Duration: Long-term, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate

Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity within a primary school?

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Shrewsbury on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is nurturing, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children to achieve their full potential.

🌟 The Role
Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1
Working alongside the class teacher to support learning and development
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Supporting children with SEND needs
Building strong and positive relationships with pupils and staff
🎓 About You
Ideally, you will have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching & Learning / Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
Previous experience working within a primary school or education setting
Experience supporting children with SEND
A genuine passion for working with children
A patient, caring and nurturing approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
No formal qualification? No problem! Strong and relevant experience working with children will also be considered.
