Full-Time Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant Position - Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2)
Location: Northampton (NN2)
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Northampton. This full-time role is focused on Key Stage 1 (KS1), supporting children at a vital stage in their early learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons that support the learning and development of KS1 pupils.
Provide targeted one-to-one or small group support, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
Assist in tracking and recording pupil progress, supporting their academic and personal development.
Help with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and ensuring a safe, stimulating learning space.
Prepare and adapt learning resources to suit the needs of young learners.
Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring every child has equal access to learning opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience or qualifications in a similar role within KS1 are desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting young children.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
