Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) About the School We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to support targeted booster sessions and small-group interventions at a vibrant and nurturing independent day school in Brent. Catering for children aged 3–11, this is a school that truly values both academic progress and emotional wellbeing in equal measure. Set within beautiful, well-kept grounds, the school is a haven for both staff and students. With a family-feel ethos, you’ll be joining a small and supportive team that works collaboratively to help every child reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities • Work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to deliver booster and intervention programmes in reading, writing, and numeracy • Support pupils with mild to moderate special educational needs, helping to remove barriers to learning • Build positive relationships with young learners, fostering independence and a love for learning • Assist with general classroom duties, preparing resources and helping maintain a focused, engaging environment Ideal Candidate • Experience working with KS1 pupils or young children in an educational setting • An understanding of the UK Primary Curriculum • A proactive, patient and empathetic nature • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, CACHE, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential This is a part-time, term-time role ideal for someone passionate about early learning and intervention, looking to make an impact in a setting that truly values its staff.
