The Role
As a KS1 teaching assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the development of children in Key Stage 1, particularly focusing on boosters and interventions. Your role will involve working 1:1 or in small groups to support students who require additional help, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) needs.
You will:
• Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups
• Assist with the planning and delivery of interventions to improve student progress
• Work closely with the class teacher to implement strategies for students with SEN or EAL
• Monitor and track student progress, helping to address any barriers to learning
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and academic achievement
