Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary Start Date: 01/09/2025 Location: Finchley Salary: £85-£100 Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term Time Only) Are you passionate about helping children thrive and succeed in the classroom? Do you have experience supporting young learners with their development, especially in early literacy and numeracy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Key Stage 1 teaching assistant in a vibrant primary school located in the heart of Finchley. The Role As a KS1 TA, you will support pupils in small booster and intervention groups, helping to close gaps in learning across core subjects. You will also work closely with class teachers to deliver personalised support, often assisting children with special educational needs (SEN), providing them with the encouragement and tools they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities • Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions • Support children with SEN, both in class and in small groups • Work closely with the class teacher to adapt resources and lesson delivery • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing • Monitor and report on progress to the teacher and SENCO Ideal Candidate • Previous experience working in a UK primary school setting • Understanding of Key Stage 1 curriculum and phonics • Experience with SEN or EAL pupils is a strong advantage • Energetic, caring, patient, and proactive • A team player who can also work independently when needed Why Apply? • Supportive leadership and a collaborative team • Great location in Finchley with excellent transport links • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in children's lives • Ongoing training and career development Why work via Teach Now?
