Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary Start Date: 01/09/2025 Location: Barnet Salary: £85–£100 Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term Time Only) Are you passionate about supporting children in their early primary years? Your Role As a key stage 1 TA, you will play a vital part in: • Delivering targeted booster sessions and small-group interventions, particularly in literacy and numeracy • Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) to access learning and reach developmental milestones • Working alongside class teachers to create a calm, engaging and inclusive learning environment • Monitoring and reporting on student progress and behaviour • Helping to shape positive learning experiences that build confidence and curiosity Ideal Candidate • Has experience supporting children in key stage 1 or early primary years • Is familiar with phonics schemes and early maths strategies • Has knowledge or interest in supporting SEN learners • Brings patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach to every interaction • Is a flexible team player eager to grow in a school that values its staff Why Join? • Daily rate of £85–£100 • Full-time, term-time work in a well-respected Barnet school • Ongoing support and training through Teach Now • The chance to truly impact children’s learning and development Why Work via Teach Now?
