Part Time Kitchen Assistant (Temporary, 3-Month Contract)
Location: Pocklington, Yo42
Rate: £12.21 per hour
Contract Length: long sickness cover, on a rotating 4-week schedule
Hours: 7 am - 3 pm and 12 pm - 6 pm, including 2 weekends per month working 3 shifts per week ( Rota based)

We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Residential Care Home in Pocklington.
This is a temporary 3-month role, offering 8 hours shift across a rotating 4-week schedule, working 3 days per week.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll be an essential part of the team, providing support in the kitchen to ensure smooth operation, food safety, and excellent service for the residents. You'll work across a variety of shifts, including weekends, so flexibility is key!
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with food preparation and service in the kitchen
Ensuring cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained
Assisting with the washing and cleaning of kitchen utensils and equipment
Supporting the catering team with any other duties as required
Helping to maintain a safe and hygienic working environmentSkills & Experience:
Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work weekends
