BBS Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency for the transport and logistics sector, supplying to a variety of clients across London, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We also recruit for Social Care and Public Sector roles.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Kitchen Assistant for our client based in Camden and surrounding areas.
Duties and Responsibilities for the successful Kitchen Assistant:
* Properly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas in accordance with established hygiene standards
* Assist the Cook in preparing meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
* Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness.
* Wipe down kitchen walls to ensure a sanitary environment.
* Assist in unloading delivered food supplies.
* Organize and correctly store food supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
* Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hazard-free kitchen environment.
* Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management regarding any issues or requirements.
* Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
Working Hours: 10am - 2pm, Monday to Friday
Requirements:
* knowledge of food hygiene
* knowledge of basic health and safety
* knowledge of stock control
* Food hygiene Certificate
* Enhanced DBS Check
