We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly school catering team in Clayton, Peterborough. This is a great opportunity to play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our school kitchen and ensuring pupils enjoy healthy, nutritious meals every day.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and dining areas.

Washing up, cleaning equipment, and ensuring work areas are kept tidy.
*
Receiving and storing deliveries safely and in line with food hygiene regulations.
*
Supporting the catering team to ensure efficient service during busy meal times.
About You
*
Food Hygiene training/qualification is essential.
*
Experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment (school experience desirable but not essential).

A strong understanding of safe food handling and storage practices.
*
Reliable, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team.

Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude.
