Role: Kitchen & Bedroom Sales Designer
Location: Chingford, London (On-site)
Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday plus at least 2 Saturdays per month
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen & Bedroom Sales Designer to join our team as we refocus our business exclusively on the retail and hybrid developer markets. This is an exciting opportunity to work with premium clients, creating bespoke furniture solutions using our own mill and factory facilities in Grays, Essex.
As we transition away from the contract market at the end of this year, you'll play a key role in strengthening our retail presence and building relationships with smaller developers. This position combines creative design expertise with strong commercial acumen to deliver exceptional results for discerning clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and sell premium kitchen and bedroom solutions to retail clients and smaller developers
* Conduct client consultations in our showroom and occasional site visits
* Create innovative, bespoke furniture designs leveraging our in-house manufacturing capabilities
* Convert design proposals into orders quickly and competitively
* Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the entire client journey
* Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
* Work collaboratively with our factory team to ensure design feasibility and client satisfaction
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience selling and designing kitchens and bedrooms at the higher end of the market
* Strong track record of successfully converting design consultations into sales
* Excellent design skills with proficiency in relevant design software
* Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for supporting clients
* Ability to work competitively while maintaining quality and client satisfaction
* Own vehicle and ability to commute daily (location not easily accessible via public transport)
* Flexibility to work Saturdays (minimum 2 per month, or as client demand requires)
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Commercial awareness and ability to balance creativity with profitability
Desirable Qualities
* Experience working with bespoke furniture manufacturers
* Knowledge of the hybrid developer market
