Job Description
Job Purpose:
To maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and back-of-house areas, supporting the chefs and kitchen team by ensuring all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and utensils are cleaned and stored efficiently. You will help ensure a smooth and safe operation in line with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash and properly store all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and cutlery.
Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
Operate the dishwashing machine and ensure it is maintained and cleaned regularly.
Assist in the basic preparation of food when required (e.g., peeling, chopping).
Ensure bins are emptied and waste is managed according to club policy.
Maintain stock of cleaning materials and report shortages.
Support the kitchen team in receiving and storing deliveries.
Follow health and safety and food hygiene regulations at all times.
Assist in deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled or requested.
Communicate any maintenance or safety issues to the Head Chef or Sous Chef promptly.
Uphold the standards and values of the private members’ club at all times.
